Shreya Dev Dube studied photography in Melbourne and later went on to specialize in cinematography in EICAR, Paris. Born in Kolkata and now based in Mumbai. Shreya’s first feature film as cinematographer CAT STICKS, a Bengali black and white film directed by Ronny Sen, premiered and won the grand jury prize in Slamdance Film Festival in 2019. Shreya went on to shoot and produce Karishma Dev Dube’s celebrated short film BITTU, which premiered at Telluride Film Festival, was shortlisted for the 93rd Academy Awards in 2021. She went onto serve as one of two cinematographers for Mira Nair's BBC television show, A SUITABLE BOY in 2022. Shreya recently won the Asian Creative Academy Award for Best Cinematographer 2022 and the ITA awards for her work in NETFLIX produced feature film THAR. Her latest feature film called ULAJH is set to release worldwide in July 2024.
